Lac d’Aignan

The lake area just outside the village center—known locally as Lac d’Aignan—is a major destination in the Bas-Armagnac region for leisure, outdoor sports, and seasonal dining. Set within a 300-hectare oak forest, it offers a tranquil setting that comes alive during spring and summer.

The lake serves as the primary outdoor recreational hub for the local commune, featuring a sandy beach area along its perimeter. Recognized for its water quality and environmental management with Blue Flag (Pavillon Bleu) certification, it is a key gathering place for swimming, picnics, and sports.

• Key Activities: Supervised swimming along the sandy beach with a water slide during July and August, fishing (2nd category lake), beach volleyball courts, and marked walking and horseback riding trails circling through the surrounding woodland.

• Adventure Parks: Home to an treetop adventure park (Accrobranche) with 14 zip-line and obstacle courses spanning the forest canopy and crossing over the lake, as well as outdoor laser tag, disc golf, and paddleboard/canoe rentals provided by local activity outfitters along the shore.
